I'm in love with a new song recently when I first heard it on 98.7FM and I get to find out that the boys that sang this song, was a new boy band who's born in X-Factor 2008. And they had their first album this year, 2009.

Seeing them from the first stage and tremendously improvement till the final, they really really deserves it. Below are some of the stages that they had been through.

Throughout this movie, other than enjoying the beautiful and breathtaking sceneries of Pandora, we can also learn about being conscience when doing things or making decisions. We can't just do things out of our way by just getting all the benefits and neglected the innocents that will be hurt and affected.

Upon watching Ch 5 tv shows regarding health food, it makes me being more cautious of what to eat and what to drink.

This afternoon I'm off to Bangkok with my hubby, and my buddy Irene and Jasper!

Finally another getaway for us! =D

By the way when it comes to talk about Bangkok, people tend to comment that their things are very cheap and there's alot to shop. Well I guess so!

I think Bangkok is as big as Singapore, or even bigger!!

Fretting over unpaid bills is a terrible energy-sapper. Money worries hang over your head, undermining your self-confidence and your sense of security.

But things usually aren't as bad as they seem and the worst thing you can do is accept the situation and continue living hand-to-mouth, day-to-day.

Regardless of age or income, everyone has the potential to be financially secure, and to enjoy the self confidence and feelings of personal power that come with it. *so true! =p*

It is not a matter of earning higher wages, but of working smarter with what you've got. Work out your budget woes with these tips:

1. Stay calm
If it looks like there is no way out of the maze of bills, stay calm. After all, it is only money. Lots of people and many businesses face a credit squeeze at some stage and most work their way out of it. The important thing is to have a plan – and follow it through.

2. Is the crisis short-term or critical?
Work out if your difficulties are only temporary or if it is a long-term problem, such as illness, loss of your job or possible bankruptcy. If it is a major crisis, you may need professional help immediately. Contact your lawyer, accountant or your friendly bank officer.

3. Will your credit rating be affected?
Do your best to protect your credit rating. If you are downgraded, it could jeopardise your chances of obtaining a loan in the future.

4. Work out which bills to pay first
When cash is tight, you need to set priorities as to which bills to pay first. Check which unpaid bills are likely to affect your credit rating. For example, a friendly landlord might allow you to pay the rent a week or two late, but a default on the electricity account will not only put you in darkness – it could mean a black mark on your record.

5. Money-stretchers
When money is short, you need to work with the money you have got to make it spin out as far as possible.
• List all the bills you owe.
• Note the due dates and grace periods.
• Pay your bills only at the end of their grace periods. A computer won't care that you paid on the last possible day.
• Pay only the minimum due but pay something on all of your bills. Do not pay all of one bill and only some of the other.
• Don't charge anything on a due-in-30-days basis. Try to arrange credit over a longer period of time.
• If it looks as if your money problems will last for a while send a note to the people you owe when you send part-payment. Make it brief and to the point: "I am experiencing problems that should be resolved soon. Here is part of the payment. I will pay the full amount as soon as I can."

6. Watch the cents
Until you work your way out of debt, you will need to take special care with your spending. Try to put off buying clothes or items for the house until you are on a firmer financial footing. Work out how much you can afford to put aside each week towards paying off your debts – and then work out how long it will take until you are debt-free. Now you have a personal goal to work for - that marvellous day when you won't owe anybody anything!

7. Don't be too hard on yourself
Financial fitness takes discipline but it does no good to impose too strict a budget. Chances are you won't be able to stick to it. Then, on top of everything else, you will have to deal with that depressing feeling of failing to meet your own expectations.

8. Take control
Successfully settling your debts after a spending blow-out is a big achievement. The important thing once you are debt-free is to make sure you do hot slip back into the red again. More importantly, now is the time to get your money working for you to build up financial security for the future.

9. Make money work for you
Sometimes as little as S$50 a week is enough to get you started towards building up a fat nest egg for the future. You also need to work on accumulating an emergency cash reserve. The best way to begin a plan is by learning how investments work. An understanding of the system gives you the knowledge and confidence to win. Most of the major financial planning companies run seminars that provide a useful starting point.

10. Seek professional help
Nowadays there are many different Investment products available. No one can be expected to choose from these and come up with the right answer every time. You will need help from qualified adviser. Choosing an adviser is an important decision because you should expect to be working with this person over a long period of time. She can show you the way to achieve your goals, prepare a plan – even be your motivator – but in the end your future is up to you. Your security and the lifestyle you will enjoy in the future are dependent on the financial decisions you make today.

Reading has always been my passion...... strangely it only begins from the start of my poly times.

I remembered a few years back, I was browsing the net when I came across a page where the person was introducing a book that she'd read. And the book caught me.

MY SISTER'S KEEPER by Jodi Picoult

My Sister’s Keeper is a poignant, uplifting, emotional, sad, triumphant, passionate, heartwrenching and extremely powerful story about the Fitzgeralds, a family united in their love for each other but divided on exactly where the boundaries of family obligations, love and sacrifice should end. But it is, ultimately, a story of two sisters, the unbreakable bond they share and how totally entwined they have been all their lives until a crucial decision threatens to tear them apart and ends up changing all the lives forever.

The Fitzgeralds
Brian (Dad) - a firefighter and avid amateur astronomer
Sara (Mom) - a stay-at-home mother and ex-lawyer
Kate (eldest daughter) - now sixteen years old, had diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two
Jesse (son) - now thirteen years old, always trying to seek attention from his parents
Anna (youngest daughter) - now twelve years old, borned for a specific reason

Being in their dream perfect suburban family, life started changing irreversibly when Kate, now sixteen, is diagnosed at age two with leukemia. She develops what looks like "a line of small blue jewels" down her spine, and her mother knows immediately that she is not seeing normal bruises. The family doctor wants the tests repeated in the hospital hematology/oncology department. There, after a series of painful and invasive procedures, they learn that Kate suffers from "APL … a subgroup of myeloid leukemia and the rate of survival … is twenty to thirty percent, if treatment starts immediately."

The treatments keep the disease at bay for about five years, until Kate's body explodes with runaway cancer cells. She desperately needs a bone marrow transplant or she will die. Her determined mother, on the advice of the doctor, persuades her husband to try for the "perfectly engineered baby."

Their other child, Jesse, is not a match, but now at thirteen, Anna has always been aware that she was "born for a specific purpose…a scientist managed to hook up [her] mother’s eggs" and her father’s sperm "to create a specific combination of precious genetic material," so that could she could be a bone marrow match for her sister Kate. When Kate needs leukocytes or stem cells or bone marrow "to fool her body into thinking it’s healthy," Anna has obediently stepped in. Everytime Kate is hospitalized so is she, which means Anna can never go away to soccer camp or even to college.

Until now, Anna has never questioned her role in life. But she says that "lately I have been having nightmares, where I’m cut into so many pieces that there isn’t enough of me to be put back together." The strain has been heavy on them all, especially Anna who says so bluntly - "I was never really a kid. To be honest, neither were Kate and Jesse…" And it is hard because they "practically set a place for Death at the dinner table." It does different things to them.

Jesse is the wild kid who does drugs and plays with matches, gets arrested for stealing a judge’s car and is generally hopeless. But he is acting out is because he feels he is worthless, unable to help Kate. He calls himself "a lost cause."

After the countless surgeries, transfusions and shots, Anna is now required to give a kidney, which her mother Sara, so intent on saving Kate, doesn’t think is a big deal. Kidney donation is considered a relatively safe surgery. But the pamphlet that Anna reads explains that "when you donate a kidney, you spend the night before the operation fasting and taking laxatives. You’re given anesthesia, the risks of which can include stroke, heart attack and lung problems. The four-hour surgery isn’t a walk in the park either --- you have a 1 in 3,000 chance of dying on the operating table, if you don’t, you are hospitalized for four to seven days, although it takes four to six weeks to recover…"

She has had enough. She loves her sister fiercely but she can’t go through with the kidney donation, so she sues her parents for the right to make her own medical decisions.

When you reach the end of the book after following Anna through her journey, you realize that there are no easy or even right answers. There isn’t one person who can be judged for what they think is moral or ethical, or even justifiable. Sometimes you don’t know what the right thing is but as a mother, as a doctor and even as a sibling, you do what you think is right for you and for everyone else.

Now that it's shown in the Cinema, for sure I will not give it a miss. It's a really touching story.

Anyway I was kinda disappointed with the ending as it's totally different from the book.

It's supposed to be a twist.

An ending that you will never ever expected.

Disgraced Singaporean

Sometimes I am really unsure if I should be proud to be Singaporean or I should not.

Looking at some of our own people doing unthoughtful and unhygienic actions, really felt disgrace and turns people off.

And this was what I'd seen in train a few weeks back.

Knowing that holding the pole is for our own safety, however usually I will think twice before holding it due to the fingerprints and the 'stains' that is visible on the pole, I will try my best to avoid holding it so as not to touch my face and etc after holding on to the 'germs' pole.

But after seeing this inconsiderate ah pek, it pissed me off! Doesn't he knows that the poles are for "HANDS" to hold, and not his FEETS!!

Sometimes I really don't understand the adults, who always teach their children to do good and behave themselves, yet they are obviously not behaving themselves too and not setting good examples.

For examples:
If we lied to them, they will say that we disobey and disrespect them.
If they lied to us, they will say it's for our own good, or rather it's "善意的谎言".

If we interrupted their conversations with others, they will say we have no manners.
If they interrupted our conversations with others, they will think it's ok as they are the parents.
Or they'll find excuses saying that we chat too long or start to nag if we continue to ignore them.

If we asked them alot of questions, they have their reasons not to answer and we have to shut up.
If they asked us alot of questions, they MUST have the answer and we cannot shut up.

If we gamble too much, they will say that we are "无可救药" and bringing misfortune to the family.
If they gamble too much, they will say that they are trying to "earn" more $$ for the family.

If we smoke, they will say that we are influenced by bad clique and we are not "自爱".

Hubby's Sister's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Hubby's Sister!! Due to work and hubby's school, we did not join them at Sangri-La Hotel, a buffet lunch treat from his sister. aw...... =(

But it's ok! At least we joined them at the Famous 'No Signboard Restaurant' at Vivo City for dinner!! Fav. chilli crab!! *Slurp*

And due to that big "slippery" Mr. Chilli Crab, and my clumsiness, it slipped off my fingers and landed on my dress!! SOB!!

Couldn't really waste off the stain. But luckily we're heading home after the dinner. phew..

Anyway we bought hubby's Sis a perfume which she loved it alot. =p hee..

Working location near to Bugis area, what can we not missed?

FOOD PARADISE LA!! *typical singaporean's reply* =x

Ha. Everyone loves good food and of course I am not exceptional. Yet I count myself lucky enough for not being those "without good food will die" kind. =p

And being located at a little ulu place, I will have to "exercise" further in order to taste yummy food during my lunch break. Ok I admit I am lazy for that. hee

Anyway I'm blessed enough to be near to one of the popular hawker centre in Singapore. It's the Beach Road Army Market! They are famous with Fried Kuay Teow and Goreng Pisang!! YES! My favourite GORENG PISANG!!

Benefit to those that have not try their fried kuay teow, they give lots of fresh crunchy vegetables!

What the heck? Other fried Kuay Teow also have veges right??
No no no. Their vegetables are much more fresh compared to others that cooked till the vegetable shrink till almost cannot be seen. *being exaggerating*

And not only that! In additional ingredients, they will give you a packet of tiny yellow ikan bilis! They don't add directly into our kauy teow as it will not be as crunchy by the time we packet back to office/home.

How thoughtful of them!!!

And also, most important, their kuay teow is not as greasy as others.
Like what Chinese always says, 吃不腻｡ =)

Bless enough to have it falls on weekends, we had a fruitful day for sure.

The 4 of us headed to Cineleisure for our lunch before we had the energy to shop all the way after that. ha.

Guess where we ate? Yes! It's Korean BBQ Chicken! It's been long since I ate there. I used to go there often with my Ang Moh Boss, Ryck, as he loves to challenge himself with the Hot Sauce. But sadly, he'd went back to USA. Really hope I can visit him if I get the chance. =)

Anyway for those that can take spicies, try their Hot Sauce. You might love it.

Yummy Yummy. I love their Chicken Cutlet and Mushroom Cream Spaghetti!!
My hubby and I love Creamy spaghetti alot alot. So far, this is one of the best. =p

Then to our first shopping!! Laneige Sales!!!
Thanks to Jeline and her friend (who told her about the sales), we crazily went in and shop like any others kiasu ladies. Ha.

Kinda disappointed as I couldn't find a facial product which I'd longed for.
But still, I managed to get myself a liquid foundation at the cost of $15 only!! Super cheap la!

And there's lots of make up items that are selling at $15 each too.
Very tempted but to be wise and thrifty, I decided not to purchase them. =p

When was the last time I had celebrated Children's Day?

hmmm. . . I can't remember.

Do we celebrate it during Sec school time? If no, then in year 1998 was the last when I was Pri 6. =x

That's like 11 years ago can!!! I'm getting older! =( sob

Anyway, Hubby's sis brought us to an eating place near lavender that sells famous LOR MEE and some other "Zi Char" food too.

Knowing that there's a few other famous LOR MEE stalls in west area, like Bt Batok and Bt Panjang, why must we travel all the way to Lavender to have it instead?

What's so special about it?

Well, the pics shall reveal the answer!! =D

Seafood La La! This is the 1st time ever that I'd seen so much and bigger size La La being served.
The serving is way too much for just the 6 of us. No not 6 of us, it's 4.

Because Som mama and little Qi Qi don't eat La La. =x

Moreover, a typhoon threatened to bring more devastation following a killer storm which badly affected over 2.2 million terrified Philippine flood survivors.

Four days after once-in-a-lifetime floods submerged most of Manila and neighbouring areas, claiming nearly 250 lives, Typhoon Parma lurked to the east of the Philippines and was on course to bring more storms this week.

Philippines is appealing for urgent international humanitarian assistance.

Poor drainage systems mean some places remain waist-deep in water, while vast swathes of the sprawling city of 12 million people are covered in sludge. Hundreds are feared dead. 435,000 people have been forced out of their destroyed homes and are living in squalid conditions. They are desperately short of food, water and clothes.

At one gymnasium in eastern Manila, 3,000 people were sheltering in hot and humid conditions alongside the bodies of 11 neighbours lying in coffins. There was no running water, and human faeces lay only a metre from where people were sleeping on the concrete floor.

Yeah! Gonna re-design me and my sis's rooms soon!! Had sort of done the pack ups but got to "demolish" my studyroom's table (as it is molded onto the wall in L-shape designed), then we can start the actual painting and moving in our new furnitures. hee.

I just love shopping at Ikea! Shall do that real soon once we start the process! cool!! My sis and I had chosen some of the furnitures that we love. Well, shall keep in view first.

Anyway recently my house's desktop is down, but it doesn't really matter to me as I've got my own laptop. LOL. Thus both my sis went to buy their own computer!

My elder sis got herself a Toshiba Satellite laptop! Can't remember the exact model. =x

And my younger sis got herself a Vaio desktop computer! =D

Maybe I shall change a lappy soon as I saw one model that I really love. =p

Looking at the stages that we are now at in our lives, things really turn out differently as of what we wished to have or rather what we had dreamt of when we were young.

But it didn't turn out that bad as well. Seeing my close frens getting married blissfully and having their first baby, makes me felt so joyful for them. Though they have been through alot at this age, at least they have their partners to walk hand in hand with them through the journey. Aww.....

Anyway shall introduce 2 of my close frens' cutie babies.

Movies!!

Recently had been back with movies treat.

Last few weeks had caught a movie, Kung Fu Chef. Quite an okay movie but I think it's only worth watching on weekdays. Anyway there's still some comedy part that will amuse you. =)

As for Push, I'm kinda disappointed in that movie as it's not that interesting as of what is shown in their trailer. And their storyline is not good at all. =( boo hoo~

Anyway there will be more movies coming up soon! Like, Fast & Furious 4, The Unborn and lots more!!! Shall catch them as soon as it's shown in the theatre!!

Finally I've got time to update! Recently was very busy with work. Same goes to Hubby. =) He's working part time now. Thanks to Shuting for introducing him the job. =p

Albino Dolphin Spotted In The Wild!!!

A pink bottlenose was spotted swimming in Lake Calcasieu in Louisiana which is believed to be the only of its kind.

" The mammal is entirely pink from tip to tail and has reddish eyes indicating it's albinism. The skin appears smooth, glossy pink and without flaws. I have spotted it about 40 to 50 times in the time since the original sighting as it has apparently taken up residence with its family in the Calcasieu Ship Channel.

As time has passed he has grown and sometimes ventures away from its mother to feed and play but always remains in the vicinity of the pod.

Surprisingly, it does not appear to be drastically affected by the environment or sunlight as might be expected considering its condition, although it tends to remain below the surface a little more than the others in the pod. "

Look at how beautiful this pink dolphin is!! =D Though it's albino, yet it brings out the uniqueness and prettiness of a dolphin. How rare.

And it's totally different from what we have in Sentosa. Those in Sentosa are of more pale pink with grey spots. But this? It's fully in pink and . . . PINK!!

Can someone catch it and have it in our Sentosa?? I want to see it!!!! @.@

Valentine's Day had passed. How was your occasion? =)

Well as the day falls on a Saturday, most of the places will be very crowded. Thus we decided to cook our own delicious western meal and spend the early day at home. =p BUT, we'd forgotten to take the photos of our dishes! sad. Anyway thereafter, I went to cut my fringe before proceeding to Jurong Point for a walk.

That's when hubby surprised me with my favourite, tulips. ^.^ Thanks hubby!

Isn't it pretty?? * I mean the flowers k.* lol

That ends our day! As for Sunday,which is the next day, me, hubby, my parents and my younger sis, together with her bf (Jason), went to East Coast Park!

Hubby was so happy as he hadn't been cycling for a long time. me too. =p But it's kinda a bad day to have such outing. The weather was so humid and scorching hot. Everyone thirsted for drinks and were trying to find shelters whenever they can.

But looking at a bright side of it, we had perspired lots, which is healthy for us! =D

Upon reaching there, me and hubby went to the UFO machine while waiting for them to reach.

And I spent just $2, I caught the pink panther! Bravo Cady!!! *pat pat* ^,^

half way through the journey, at a beautiful flower park. =)

Went for dinner at the East Coast Park Hawker Centre and hurried home for a cool bath after such a perspired, and tiring day.

But still, we enjoyed ourselves alot!

Naked couple surprises diners in Singapore stroll at Holland Village!!

On Jan 28, a couple "treated" the diners, in Holland Village, to a 15-minute naked parade!!

The Pub manager Terence Chia told the Straits Times newspaper that he saw the couple taking off their clothes on Saturday night at a staircase in a block of flats in Holland Village, known for its popular nightspots.

"Then, clothes in hand, they coolly walked in their flip-flops towards the market," he said, adding when the couple did a U-turn a sea of spectators was ready and poised with cameras.

"There were more than 200 people and everyone was taking pictures," the newspaper on Wednesday quoted Chia as saying. "Even women were busy clicking and people were cheering, whistling and applauding like crazy."

Police said the couple, a Caucasian man and an ethnic Chinese woman in their 20s, had been arrested and released on bail. If convicted under Singapore law, they could face a fine of maximum fine of S$2000 , up to 3 months in jail, or both.

Oh my oh my. What were this couple thinking? I wonder what really gave them the guts to be totally naked and even taking the initiative to take to strangers.

Wouldn't they afraid of facing the consequences?

Seriously, more and more weird/happening things are occuring in Singapore. I can foresee that there's gonna be another naked man/woman/couple appearing on newspaper headline soon! LOL. That's the trend of Singapore. Copycats! =x

I'm currently down with fever! And it's super high, "burning" at 39.1°C. =(

I was so weak and my whole body was aching. But I had to visit the doctor alone as I need to consume some medicine to bring down the temperature asap before it's going to reach 40°C.

The doctor did not say what's the reason that cause such a high fever but he gave me 3 days of MC. 3 days!! It's my first time that I'd got so long "break" from MC. And one of the medicine is "Ibuprofen", which is a strong medicine to help to bring down temperature very quickly. Apart from that, I'd got 4 other types of medicine to consume. "-_- Below is the pic of it.

Anyway I need some rest now. Shall update the pics of my Bintan Trip once I recover!

People often say "Monday blues."

Indeed.

Lethargic is the best word to describe me of the day/week.

Especially when I have to travel to another office, which is at Suntec, for a few weeks.

Do you know how inconvenient it is from my house to Suntec?

If I were to take train, I'd to travel from CCK to Jurong East, then change train to travel to Cityhall. Then from Cityhall, I'd to walk all the way through the Citylink in order to reach Suntec. And Not just that. From Suntec, I still have to walk all the way to Tower 3 (near Carrefour). That's gonna kill me if I had to do it everyday.

Hmmm.. Perhaps by taking buses might help abit?

NO.

From my house, I have to take a bus (consists of 3 stops) to reach Bus Interchange. Then I'd the take bus 190 to reach town area and change to another bus to reach Suntec. By reaching Suntec, I still have to walk the *^%!&(#%^!#%&#$ long distance in Suntec to reach Tower 3.

What the HACK!!!! It's so far!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine anything worst than that?? Seriously I wonder how those associates that work in Suntec area survive by taking public transport and still have to walk that "marathon". lol.

Anyway I hope this will end soon and I can return to the Taka Office. Please pray hard for me ah! =D Thanks!

By the way just to let you guys know. I'll be away from S'pore again!!

From Thurs - Sunday, I'll be going Bintan with my close friends. I'm so looking forward to the trip!! I'm sure it'll be damn fun!! =D

Looking back at the 365 days that we'd spent in 2008, I'm sure we had learnt alot.

But it's still up to you on how you want to mature from the challenges you'd faced.

Whether you want to treat it as a "problem" to help you to grow, mature and learning more from it or treat it as the problems have always happen on you.

Whether you want to look at all the negative things that had accumulated in 2008 or calculate how many blessings you'd received in 2008.

Whether you want to let your life growing day by day or plan out a resolution for this year.

As 'TIME' doesn't wait for you, then what are you waiting for now?

Take out your notebook/journal to write down your resolutions/plans/goals for 2009!!!

Hello peepz!!

Thanks for welcoming us back! We'd really enjoyed ourselves at Taiwan except that they don't celebrate Christmas. That's sad.

Anyway everyday was kinda tiring to me as we got to wake up at 6am in order to have our breakfast and off to our journey of around the "Taiwan" in 7 days. =p

We visited lots and lots of temple places, A-mei culture, alittle shopping and of course, their famous night market.

Seriously their night markets are about the same as what we had in Chinatown and Bugis. I wonder why so many people's comments on their food are nice. To me. . . . . . . it's not my taste.
Not saying that it's not good but it's just not to my appetite. It's like by just walking a few stalls away, you can see exactly what they're selling are the same as the previous stalls. Upon percentage, let say in 10 stalls, 50% of them are selling the same. Isnt that crazy? I'm just tired of the food there as well as the meals provided in the hotel/restaurants. Every meal's the same!!! Seriously if I am the travel agent, I won't want my customers to get the same food every single day. It might be due to the cost but I will try to give my best to let my customers enjoy.

Worst of all, for those CHILLI LOVERS, they don't serve chilli there!!!! AH!!!!!! It's nightmare for me! Even their fastfood restaurant doesn't serve chilli too!! FAINT!!!

Anyway due to this, when I'm back home, I suffered from Gastric Flu. That's too serious for me. But I'm much better now, just don't have much appetite yet. *thanks for your concern if you're worried about me =)*

As now is winter season, all the clothes that they're selling are for winter of course. Thus we didn't buy any of it but just 1 or 2. sob "-_-

Alright. For those that are planning to go Taiwan and want to know more about it, do not hestitate to approach us! We'll try to share with you our experiences. =)

Last week, we (me, dear and his frens) spent a good time together at Marina Barrage, which is Singapore's 15th Reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. =)

Well, what's so special about it?

It has 3-in-1 benefits!

1) Water Supply
The Marina Barrage is a 350-meter wide dam and it's built across the Marina Channel to keep out seawater. With the barrage in place, the Marina Basin will turn into a body of freshwater through natural flushing in 1 to 2 years. The freshwater will then be treated using advanced membrane technology before consumption. We should treasure the water even more!

2) Flood Control
The Marina Barrage is part of a comprehensive flood control scheme to alleviate flooding in the low-lying areas in the city such as Chinatown, Boat Quay, Jalan Besar and Geylang. During heavy rain, the series of nine crest gates at the dam will be activated to release excess storm water into the sea when the tide is low. In the case of high tide, giant pumps which are capable of pumping an Olympics-size swimming pool per minute will drain excess storm water into the sea. Isn't that amazing?

3) Lifestyle Attraction
As the water in the Marina Basin is unaffected by the tides, its water level will be kept constant all year round. This is ideal for all kinds of recreational activities such as boating, windsurfing, kayaking and dragonboating etc. Lovely!

I'm here to update! =D Have been quite busy lately due to my work. I guess to most of the people too as it's near to year end.

Anyway recently, me and my dear sort of addicted to the 'UFO machine'. =p Apart from what we'd catched last time (the 2 me-to-you bears at east coast park), below are what we had caught too!!

SINGAPORE: A Malaysian contract worker died after being attacked by three white tigers at the Singapore Zoo on Thursday.

The worker has been identified as Nordin Bin Montong.

Zoo officials said the 32—year—old had jumped into a moat at the white tiger enclave and was subsequently mauled to death by the white tigers.
Police said they received a report at 12.30pm about a man sustaining neck injuries at the zoo. Paramedics were called to the scene and Nordin was pronounced dead at 12.45pm.
Biswajit Guha, assistant director, Singapore Zoo, said: "Prior to the incident, the zookeepers had actually noticed that the contract worker was behaving erratically.
"He was throwing things around and as he was walking out of the zoo, he passed comments like ’Goodbye, you won’t see me again’. He later cycled back and 5 minutes later, the alarm went off."
Nordin had jumped off the ledge into the water and once he was inside the enclave, the three white tigers mauled him for five to ten minutes, while 20 zookeepers tried desperately to save him by distracting the animals.
They were too late, as were the two licensed rifle shooters who were called to the scene.
As a precautionary measure, the white tiger exhibit has been temporarily closed and the 9—year—old tigers, which came from Indonesia, are in confinement for now.
Zoo officials said once the police finish their investigations, they would examine if there is a need to further enhance safety measures.
Singapore Zoo added that it is natural for tigers to pounce on any prey and there is no reason to sedate the animals.

Hasn't been blogging recently, well, here's the updates!

Last Sun, we had an early birthday celebration for my younger sis. All of us, (my family + bfs), went to bugis to have steamboat. Overall the food's okay but I still find the one that we had, last time with Fabian and wife, is still the best. Especially their man tou!!

Soon after that we proceed to the Henderson Wave and took some photos.

Went home for the birthday cake celebration after that.

Well, now that our dear sister is 20 years old, moving forward, I hope to see you successful in whatever you do and be street smart when you step into working environment soon. Working life is really different compared to studying. Though your future job (nurse) is much more of being compassionate, caring and etc to the patient, if there's something that really stress you out, go ahead and tell someone that can help you with the situation. Every career has it's kind of emotional, physical and politic stress, this is where you'll grow and mature from it. Same goes to my elder sister. Both of them are angels cause they are nurses! Real tough job.

Finally I'd got my own luggage!!! Went to Chinatown with dear and his family in the late afternoon as I helped dear to wash his car 1st. =)

Recently the weather is really killing us. It's so hot and humid in the morning till early noon and it started to rain heavily in late afternoon. "-____- How can this prevent people from getting sick?

Anyway I'd bought this Hush Puppies Luggage at only 100 bucks. =) Though the salesman doesn't sounds really sincere and has quite bad attitude, it doesn't affect me buying it at all. Since he had reduce the price for me, then that shall be it. I'm not going to buy his attitude but my luggage right? =)

Fishes!

I always think that those who loves fishes the most are the guys. Isn't it?

Anyway, few days ago, my family, dear and me went to QianHu Fish Farm for the Fish Spa!! I was so excited about it as I'd never try it before and I can't imagine having the fishes "biting" my feet with their small little mouth.

It charges us $10 for 1/2 an hour. But I guess I'd only put my feet in for less than that as it's so tickle-lish that I kept pulling off the water. LOL!

Look at the fishes. They're approaching dear's feet once he put it into the water. They seems so desperate to eat our dead skins. =p

China Milk Scandal

CHINA MILK SCANDAL

For those who do not read/listen to news, for your info, please be more aware of any food that contains chemical melamine.

China has 53,000 children have been sickened by milk contaminated with the industrial chemical melamine, which is normally used to make plastics.

It has led to four deaths so far and prompted a host of nations to ban, or at least scrutinise, Chinese dairy imports, further tarnishing the reputation of the "Made in China" label.
Melamine, when added to milk, can make it appear richer in protein.

Thankfully that in Singapore, so far there's no one that is affected by this chemical. But still, typical Singaporean will just make a big fuss out of it or will be so cautious about anything that has to got to do with milk product.

Perhaps sooner or later, things like bubble milk tea, milk shake, food with condense milk, and etc will be under inspection. You'll never know.

Anyway for your health sake, if you're really a milk person, just go for Australian or American products for the time being.

*I'm sure for those that dislike/hate milk, will say hurray to this*

On Sunday, dear was playing mahjong with his family and then his sister decided to treat us to steamboat due to the cold weather. It's really shiok to eat steamboat in such cold weather. =p

had planned our activity for monday. dear and me decided to catch a movie. settled our lunch at my hse with dear. after that, my mum wanted to go bukit panjang plaza to buy goceries, therefore me and dear accompany my mum. came back around 4pm and brought up those stuffs before we head straight to IMM.
1st 3hrs of parking in IMM is free, therefore i parked there and we walked to jurong entertainment. on the way to there, i saw my classmate, septiana! haha, world is so small. she's heading to work. the title of the movie is Journey To The Center Of The Earth.
genre of film: Action, Adventure, Family, Fantasy, Sci-Fi .
running time: 93 minutes
I like the part where the dinosaur is chasing after shawn. It's so exciting.

around 11plus, jason called and thought i was at home becos he wanted to come over to look for me but i was at dear's hse. after that jason and jeline came over to sunshine place to look for us. chatted for 2hrs plus. wow, there's alot of things to talk about. as usual is full of craps and jokes.

Singapore is really so small that whenever we want to think of places to go, we run out of idea. Thus as usual, we'll end up sitting at a coffee shop or some eating place and ti da (chit chat) with our friends. =)

By the way, we were so fortunate to meet a new superhero 2 days ago. He was really bold and he showed us all his power and how energetic he was.

Let's see our new born hokkien speaking hero!! =D

ha! Have you seen enough?! Seriously he'd been entertaining us for long. A real naughty superhero. I guess no one can ever handle him and try to calm him down. Go ahead and try it. You'll regret and give up immediately. =X

Our lucky Jason get the chance to attract his attention and had a short interview with him! Should I say that you're lucky? LOL. This smart little hero knows how to defend himself and has real bad attitude. Behold when you see him and really be careful of him. He'll shoot you to death.

Ha! Anyway we got sick and tired of him repeating the same old power, so we decided to leave before he noticed us. Home sweet home after that. =p

As for yesterday, after my work, we went to meet the same gang at Cineleisure's HongKong Cafe. As usual, being random, we took photos together. (",)

After that, we went to East Coast Park to relax ourselves. Didn't expect us to be so hook up by the catching bears machine over there! It's $1 per game. Me and dear were lucky enough to get 2 of it!

We really love them! The right one with a heart is dear catch for me de. Thanks dear. =) Dear only spend $2 and he managed to catch it. So lucky. And the one on the left, ha, we're so blessed to have it. Coz there was a girl that was playing and had a few tries but just couldn't get hold of it. So when she left, me and dear just stay there to try to figure out how to catch it. Just then, I heard one of the machine had the 'countdown' music. Immediately, I take a look at that machine and it left 3 sec! To our surprised, I quickly moved the catch to the right position and lucky enough to shift it in time and caught it! Yeah! I guess it might be a free chance after the girl had tried so many times. Too bad she walked away, if not it'd be hers. =p So overall we only spend $2 to get these 2 MetoYou bear! happy happy! =)

Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Straight three days off work. =) When can I have such a break again?

Ever since stepping into working environment, holidays to us are really precious. I guess the longest that we can take is only up to a week so as to save up the rest on other occasions. Am I right, working adults? =p

Anyway, finally I get to go to the place which I had been longing for. You know where is that place?

It's Bukit Purmei!! My Primary School locates there and of course my childhood memories too. =D

Thanks dear for bringing me there. ^^

But before that, dear went to fetch his mom and qiqi from Vivo as he wanted to bring us eat the famous Lor Mee at the lower side coffee shop of Bukit Purmei. Sad to say, it was closed on Monday! Thus we tried our luck on the upper side coffee shop Wanton Mee, which in my whole life, I still think that it's the most delicious Wanton Mee I'd ever ate when I am young! LOL! But it's closed on Monday too! SOB! =( Anyway I can't guarantee that's the same stall as of what I had.

So we end up leaving the place and went to Telok Blangah Drive Hawker Centre to have their famous wanton mee. Nice. *Clap Clap*

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Time passed really fast. It seems as if we had just celebrated Singapore's not long ago.

Initially, we wanted to bring my (cady) parents out as they wanted to go Henderson Waves but end up they went there themselves in the morning. So by late afternoon, dear brought my parents and me out to esplanade to watch fireworks. =)

Look how tired we are after squeezing with so many people. . .
